On 31 August 2020, the Chief Executive Officer of AFRINIC pursuant to Article 3.1.7 of the Governance Committee’s Terms of Reference requested the committee’s assistance as follows:
- Examine the text of the code of conduct to determine if updates are needed;
- Consider if there are situations that may arise which are not adequately covered in the current text;
- Advice on the process through which updates to the text can be made, discussed with the members and community, and finally approved;
- Make such other recommendations as the Governance Committee may deem appropriate at https://afrinic.net/govcom/request
In furtherance of the above, the Governance Committee has at its meeting held on 30 March 2021 decided to engage in a consultation process with its stakeholders which shall be opened from 01 April 2021 to 30 April 2021.
