The AFRINIC Diversity in ICT Program

Image
Despite the rapid growth of Internet usage in Africa, there is still a significant underrepresentation of certain groups of people in ICT initiatives on the continent. This digital divide is not only an issue of fairness, but it also limits the potential for innovation and economic growth across the region. At AFRINIC, we recognize the importance of addressing this issue and have taken actions to support the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals 4, 5, 9 10, 11 and 17.

The AFRINIC Diversity Program aims to bridge the digital divide and leverage the potential of every individual to access, use, and develop the Internet technologies. By promoting diversity and inclusion, we can create a more equitable and prosperous society for all. We know that access to technology is only one part of the equation, so we're also working to empower individuals with the skills and knowledge needed to make the most of these opportunities.

We're proud to have invested in advocating for greater diversity in ICT development across the continent. By working with local communities, educational institutions, and technology companies, we're helping to create a more inclusive and innovative ecosystem. With your support, we can continue to make a difference and empower more individuals to reach their full potential.

The AFRINIC Diversity Program is more than just a way to address the digital divide. It's also an opportunity to harness the potential of underrepresented groups. We believe that by empowering these groups, we can unlock new ideas and innovations that will benefit everyone in Africa and beyond.

We invite you to join us in building a more inclusive and innovative Internet in Africa. With your support, we can create a more equitable and prosperous future for all. Together, we can break down barriers and build a brighter future for everyone.
