The Governance Committee was in 2019 tasked by the AFRINIC Board to review the Company’s Bylaws and advise on any need to amend or to re-write the document. In furtherance of this task, we asked the community to participate in the review process. However, the exercise was not completed by the close of 2019.
The Governance Committee has restarted the process and will endeavour to finalise the exercise before the next Annual General Members’ Meeting to be held during the Africa Internet Summit 2020 in Kinshasa, DRC. The community is being called upon to once again give its views during this review process.
The Governance Committee will receive feedback from 1st March 2020 to 31st March 2020.
Contributions received from the community in 2019 together with that shared during this review period will be used to determine whether to amend or to re-write the document and form part of the revised Bylaws.

A Comissão de Governança foi encarregada em 2019 pelo Conselho da AFRINIC de revisar o Estatuto Social da Companhia e aconselhar sobre qualquer necessidade de emendar ou reescrever o documento. Para a prossecução desta tarefa, pedimos à comunidade que participasse no processo de revisão. Entretanto, o exercício não foi concluído até o final de 2019.
O Comitê de Governança reiniciou o processo e tentará finalizar o exercício antes da próxima Reunião Anual Geral de Membros a ser realizada durante a Cúpula Africana da Internet 2020 em Kinshasa, RDC. A comunidade está a ser chamada a dar mais uma vez a sua opinião durante este processo de revisão. O Comité de Governação receberá feedback de 1 de Março de 2020 a 31 de Março de 2020.
As contribuições recebidas da comunidade em 2019 juntamente com as partilhadas durante este período de revisão serão utilizadas para determinar se o documento deve ser emendado ou reescrito e fazem parte dos Estatutos revistos.
