We have learnt with profound sadness the untimely death of Mr Lala Andriamampianina, who was our former Board member from 2011 to 2014.
Mr. Andriamampianina was the President of NIC-MG. He has also served as the Vice-Chair of the Board of the Malagasy E-Governance National Realization Agency and the Executive Director of the Foundation for Higher Education Development.
Mr. Andriamampianina has also served as the Chairman of the Polytechnic School, University of Antananarivo; and he was also a member of ISOC.
He was the executive manager of the FADES, a project of the Malagasy government, which was financed by the World Bank and was considered a pioneer of the Internet in Madagascar.
We wish to extend our deepest and most heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, friends and to the Global Internet community.
May his soul rest in eternal peace.

Aprendemos com profunda tristeza a morte prematura do Sr. Lala Andriamampianina, que foi nosso antigo membro do Conselho de Administração de 2011 a 2014.
O Sr. Andriamampianina foi o Presidente do NIC-MG. Também serviu como Vice-Presidente do Conselho de Administração da Agência de Realização Nacional E-Governação Malgaxe e Director Executivo da Fundação para o Desenvolvimento do Ensino Superior.
O Sr. Andriamampianina foi também Presidente da Escola Politécnica da Universidade de Antananarivo; e foi também Membro da ISOC.
Foi gerente executivo do FADES, um projecto do governo malgaxe, que foi financiado pelo Banco Mundial e considerado um pioneiro da Internet em Madagáscar.
