On behalf of NomCom 2026, AFRINIC is pleased to announce the following final candidate slate for the open seat on the Governance Committee, Number Resource Organisation Number Council/Address Supporting Organization Address Council  and Policy Development Working Group elections:

As only the above-named candidates have been found eligible to stand for election in accordance with the applicable Election Guidelines, there shall be no contested election for the community-elected AFRINIC representatives to the NRO NC/ ASO AC. Accordingly, pursuant to established electoral rules, the above-named candidates shall be deemed elected unopposed. However, subject to section 6.2.9 of the Election Guidelines, the election shall nevertheless proceed for the purpose of determining the duration of each successful candidate’s term of office, which shall be allocated according to the number of valid votes cast in favour of each candidate.

 

In respect of the PDWG Co-Chairs position, only one candidate has been found eligible to stand for appointment. Accordingly, the appointment shall be considered by the Policy Development Working Group (PDWG) during the upcoming AFRINIC Public Policy Meeting.
