The Governance Committee has decided to exercise one of its mandates, which is to look at the Bylaws periodically when the need arises. The current Bylaws have served AFRINIC for some time now. A review of the same is due.

There have been discussions on various section/articles before of the Bylaws, which basically may change the whole structure of the Bylaws.

As a follow up of the same, we invite the community to make comments on the various sections/articles of the Bylaws that you feel need improvement/adjustment/deletion. The comments period will end on 17th November 2018, where after, a draft document will be prepared from the comments collected from the community.

The Community is invited to send their comments to govcom@afrinic.net, no later than 23:59 UTC on 17 November 2018.

This is to inform you that we have deployed a new AFRINIC website https://www.afrinic.net. The new website has been in the works for the better part of this year. It comes with a new look and feel and is available in English and French for now with plans to add an Arabic section planned for 2019. Our goal with this new website is to create a user-friendly browsing experience for our members, the community and all our stakeholders.

We have put in place the latest features that will make it enhance our online reputation and make us more visible globally. The website has an improved structure, navigation as well as consolidated pages to ensure that information is easy to find.

Going forward, we will continue to communicate regularly through our blogs and provide new articles and notifications. We also plan to continue adding more content to provide you with all of the information you need to interact with and evaluate our work. We invite you to connect with us on Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and YouTube and our other social media channels to stay engaged in our continued growth and collaboration.

We expect that there will be a few issues and broken links, but we have a plan to ensure all these are fixed within the shortest time possible and not exceeding 3 months. Should you see any issues please feel free to let us know and we’d be happy to fix it.
