The ASO representatives in the AFRINIC region have launched a short survey with the key questions from the ASO consultation review at https://survey.afrinic.net/index.php/732247

Please find some time to respond to the survey, open until 16th December and available in English and French.  

Following the ASO review consultation and the presentation by the CEO at the AIS 2018 meeting in Dakar, the representatives on the ASO AC/NRO NC were asked to lead a community process to develop AFRINIC’s response to the review. The Governance Committee has extended  the deadline for submitting comments on the AFRINIC bylaws to 30 November 2018.

The Governance Committee has decided to exercise one of its mandates, which is to look at the Bylaws periodically when the need arises. The current Bylaws have served AFRINIC for some time now. A review of the same is due.

There have been discussions on various section/articles before of the Bylaws, which basically may change the whole structure of the Bylaws.

As a follow up of the same, we invite the community to make comments on the various sections/articles of the Bylaws that you feel need improvement/adjustment/deletion. The comments period will now end on 30th November 2018, where after, a draft document will be prepared from the comments collected from the community.
