The 3rd AfriNIC public policy meeting together with the first African IPv6 meeting were held on December 13th and 14th 2005 in Cairo, Egypt at the Mena House Oberoi conference hall in Giza.
The meeting attracted several AfriNIC members, sister RIRs (RIPE NCC, APNIC, ARIN, LACNIC), bodies like the ITU and ECA, representatives from the Egyptian government and African network operators at large.
