Dr Janvier Ngnoulaye currently works at the University of Yaounde 1 in Cameroon (www.uy1.uninet.cm). He is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Science in the Advanced Teachers’ Training College (e-learning courses), and an adjunct teacher at the Faculty of Sciences (Security and networking courses). He is also a Cisco Instructor at the Cisco Training Center of Yaounde (ccna and ccna security curriculum). Before joining the University, he worked as a system and network administrator for the Campus at the same University where he gained valuable experience in managing the network (Implementing DNS, Firewall, Web server, remote access, etc.) in Linux, Windows and Unix system. At the same time he led various ICT workshops in Central Africa countries (Libreville, Kinshasa, Bangui, Bujumbura, Ngozi, Douala, and Yaounde).
He has been the president Internet Society Cameroon chapter since May 2011. In 2010 he convinced the Ministry of Higher Education to take a pool of /18 IP addresses for the higher education sector in Cameroon. He actively participated in the planning the AfriNIC 15 meeting held in Yaounde.
Dr Ngnoulaye holds a Masters degree in computer science from the University of Yaounde 1 (2001), and a PhD in e-learning from the University of Montreal in Canada (2010). He holds many industry certifications as trainer in networking, systems, security and web design from Cisco, AfNOG, AFRINIC, AfTLD, RALL, AUF and OIF.
